is there a sprocket cross reference somewhere..

what bike uses the same output shaft/offset and rear sprocket as my gpz?

the reason im asking is because i want to do a 520 conversion but i cant seem to find 520 kits for a bike this old but maybe for a newer bike with the same style of sprockets?

You can use the charts here to determine spline and offset. Easy conversion doing the 530 swap, don't know 1st hand how easy it will to find a 520 sprocket with the correct spline.

530 is good for me... ;)

seems like the sprockets only fit ZX750 (gpz) and nothing else.. ideas on who makes 530 sprockets for it then?

Bad news :(

No one makes a 530 conversion (or 520 for that matter) for a 83-85 GPz750. I spent months looking, and finally lucked into two 530 sprockets that were left over from a group buy on the GPz750 mailing list from PBI, and PBI says they will no longer make them.

I even contacted all the sprocket manufacturers.

The problem is that the 83-85 GPz750 uses an offset sprocket stock, and no other bike uses the same sprocket.

You might contact the people that make the offset sprockets for the 1000's and see if they will make one to match the GPz750 offset, or get a new sprocket of whatever size you want, and take it and the original sprocket to a machine shop, and ask them to cut both sprockets then weld the new sprocket outside part to your original sprocket hub, but that's going to cost $$$.

You just have to be creative when dealing with finding parts for old bikes :)

My nephew has one of the two 530 sprockets on his GPz750 motored KZ650 SR, and he has the other locked up in a safe deposit box somewhere, he's not letting it get away :D

You could have the teeth turned off a stock 630 sprocket, the centre turned out of a 520 or 530 sprocket, and have the two welded together with the amount of offset required.

The 750 and 1100 GPZs turn out to have different splines, not interchangeable as I had thought myself.
