making another change wheel question was created by donthekawguy
ok here I go again. I'm looking to put a set of cast wheels on my bike. I need to knnow what will bolt on for the front as in gsxr or similar. The back will be easy as I can fit up to a 190 in the swingarm I have. I need 17in or smaller to make it easier to get street legal drag tires. For the front I need bolt a bolt on wheel and I can fab up a caliper bracket.

Don,
What front end setup do you have? If its a normal Kz, I don't think alot of 17" rims are just going to slip right in. The fork tubes are usually not far enough apart for the wider hubs. I have seen one bike that had a standard Kz front end with a 17" katana rim but the guy had to do alot of work to make it fit.
If you have police front end, like my 1000, that'll help you out.
Later, Doug

I have the stock front end. I have a 5 inch wide 18 inch rear wheel but I can't find a street/drag tire that will fit. Argg!

Don,
Dunlop has a D220 available in a 170/60-18 and they have a matching 120/70-18 that you would only have to relace your front rim to make work. The D220 is considered a sport touring tire but they came stock on the Yammie Road Star Warriors and the Kaw Mena Streaks.
The 170 on a 5" rim should lay a pretty nice footprint for the strip.
