Has anyone done a repair on the standard swingarm or is there a conversion that will work. My Swingarm is bent (Right side lower than left) from the rear the top of the wheel leans to the right, I measured the shock length and there is a 10mm difference.

Thanks

I don't think that one will do him any good Kent, it is for bikes that use a drum rear brake and if he has an SR it will have a rear disc.

Mine is a KZ650D1 SR with a disk brake rear. This one looks very similar but it doesn't have the bracket for the torque link to the caliper.

Thanks

My Nephew is in the process of putting a GPz750 swing arm on his 79 KZ650SR, will that one work?

If it will, then PM GPzInfested.

I am not sure what they look like but I would be interested in hearing if his conversion works out for him.

Thanks

Noel, that is the swingarm off of my SR, sorry though, I am still using it on my bike. Can't you straighten it out, the one you have?

I have never done this before and was wondering if anyone had done it previously. I have a friend who is an engineer and would help me but I don't like to impose on him since he is retired. If it is not to difficult to line up I can do it myself, if not a replacement is the way to go.

Many thanks
Noel

I have two swingarms on bare frames that I got in a package deal when I needed an engine. The frame numbers on both are:
KZ650E-001696 or
KZ650D-000420.
The D model frame has a build date of 9/77 on the collar stamp. PM me if you're in need, and I can take some pics and make sure it's got everything you need, and if you're game we can work it out.
