Don't forget to post it in the site classifieds! I got *tons* of responses via the classifieds when I was looking for a reg/rec, you might have some luck despite having a more specific request.

I have a 1979 KZ1000MKII seat that had 500 miles on it but the original owner modified a brand new seat. I had it recovered, but never used it because it looked like crap to me. So in other words if you're interested, it's basically a brand new seat/pan, but looks stupid. One more thing, the bike in your picture is mine so this is the original seat that came with that MKII
Let me know if interested and I'll get you a picture or two and figure on a price. Of course the ST and MKII are not the same seat although similar, so keep that in mind.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Also I have an original MKII seat with 78,000 miles on it with torn vinyl, but great otherwise if you'd rather have it.

I have a bare shafty seat pan you can have for shipping cost if you want it. I inherited as part of my KZ1000E project but I bought a whole seat off eBay awhile back.

Yes Ron, I know that's your bike... it was the only good stock MKII pic i could find on Google Images. I might have made arrangements already, but if not I will definately give you a holler.
The idiot who owned this bike before me decided to cut off the welded hinge mounts on my frame, so I can make the ST seat work if needed...
Thanks WG, I will keep that in mind
