seat conversion

Can anyone tell me if the seat and rear cowl from a 1977 KZ1000 LTD will fit onto a 1982 KZ1000 LTD. I used to have a 77 and really liked the lower seat with the plastic tail, I find the king/queen seat on my 82 just a little ugly.

It's not a bolt on affair but with some fab work I suppose it could be done. But the frames for the most part are totally different. Maybe you can shave down the seat you have and have it recovered. That won't take care of the tail section though.

Do a search on here about shaved seats and you should get some good info.
