seat compatability

Will a seat from a late 70's z fit an 83?

I found a corbin seat on a 77 z1 in a junkyard. I'd like to put it on my kz1100-l...

Has anyone seen a late model corbin or other after market seat for the later model z's? On their website, corbin only lists a seat for the 93 zephyr. Would that fit my frame without too much modification?

Hi Shaftie, same bike here. My research has turned up that the answer is no, but I'd still like to be proved wrong. Corbin used to make gunfighters for the model but discontinued them. Junkyard seat? I'd buy it anyway, if I could..
