new footpegs for 1976 KZ900

Has anybody "upgraded" their footpegs to some aftermarket ones? If you did, can you list what worked right out of the box and which ones needed a little help(new bracket or whatnot)?
I'm looking at these Emgo slashcut footpegs
There are several versions within the same model. Emgo's catalog shows a few Kawi model numbers (Front R, Front L, Rear R, Rear L) but it's all getting a little confusing.
Basically I want some cool functional footpegs.
What have you easily replaced?
Thanks,

I put 2004 GSXR600 footpegs on my KZ650. It moved them back by about 6 inches. They needed some mounting holes drilled into the frame (2 on each side) and the linkage for the shifter shortened, as well as fitting the GSXR master cylinder up to the KZ caliper, but overall not too difficult.
Others have used other late model motorcycle rearsets for their conversions.
Search for rearsets if you want some other info.

Thanks. Nice setup. I am hoping not to get so complex on the whole thing though. I'd rather just find some good looking pegs that I can put into the current holders, put the pin back in and be done with it for a quick, cheap upgrade.

I am working on fiting a set of zx9r foot pegs to mine, instead of drilling new holes i fabricated new brackets out of 3/8" aluminum plate.
one problem i have now is that the piece that goes on the stock shifter spline comeing out of the sprocket cover hits my kick stand spring, it looks like yours does to, how does it seem to work?

I have the same set up as rstnick and all I did was flip the spring on the kickstand. That way the coils are at the bottom (wide) and the straight wire is at the top (narrow). That way the shifter does not rub the spring.
