Those look almost identical to the forks on my ZN700, except the dust boot is diff.
I'm thinking possibly ZN1100 or any of the various LTD models newer than '79 (center mounted axle).
What size wheel and tire is on there?

Are the fork tubes "extended?"
Any fluid in them? Do levels match?
Might try heavier fluid to tighten the ride -- maybe ATF.
When model source is determined, the factory specified volume of fluid may then also be determined (including height of the fluid level when measured from top of fork tube with front wheel suspended). However, with extended tubes, my guess would be add fluid until level reaches the same as stock measured from top of fork tube.
In any event, levels of fork fluid should be the same in both forks.
Looking good!![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)

deffinatly not Zn tubes. ZN tubes have the axle in front and higher like a specter and have different mounting tabs for the fender which consists of a heavy aluminium peice witht the chrome fender bolted to that.

Actually looks like 650 forks are somethingelse close. Probably an older 70's 1000 forks, forks that will hold the weight.

650 customs have a different dust boot.
That kind of boot I usually see on the LTD's with forward leading axle.

Thanks for the tips guys, i think i've found out, looks to be the kz1000j forks, what makes them harder to identify is i think they've been stretched so there's no valve on top.

I'm busy customizing her, but you can see there's no valves on the top so i'm thinking my squishy ride problem is most likely there's no air pressure in them?
