seat style
24 Dec 2005 11:28
what style of seat came on a 1976 kz900? i had somebody tell me something and i want to verify it. my bike seat is kind of 2 level. the back part sits higher than the front. is the original seat flat front to back? or does it step up in the back?

the pics/commentary here suggest the flat seat was standard and the LTD stepped seat was an option:

The KZ900 had the standard 'flat' seat and the KZ900LTD had the standard 'stepped' seat. There were no OEM options for either seat. What style bike you purchased determined which seat style you got. Non-negotiable.

They're not that rare. Keep looking on E-Bay. You'll see one soon enough.

Hi there was reading your thread and if I'm reading right, You have a 76 KZ900 with a LTD seat and you want a flat stock KZ seat. Want to trade?? I should have one of those around in the shop if you are interested, I'll check when I go back in to turn off the lights. TFH
