GS1100 swingarm swap on a KZ1000P??
27 May 2007 09:36
Ok, I seen a ton of post here and at the archives about the GS1100 swing arm swap. Must of them are for 650, 700 & 750... etc... Has anyone done this on a KZ1000 or KZ1000P? What is the benefit of this swap on a KZ1000 or KZ1000P? Is it any longer then the stock swing arm?
Also, if anyone has done this swap on a KZ1000 or KZ1000P please post the details of the swap.
Thanks for all your help.

They will accomidate a wider wheel/tire, they're box section aluminum (lighter and stronger), you'll need a couple spacers at the swingarm pivot as the GS arm is narrower at that point (a small matter), and I believe they are 2.5 inches longer.

its about 1-1/2" but you can slide the wheel back in the adjusters to pick up a little more;)

Is there an other swing arm that would extend it more then 1-1.5"? Something like 2" to 4"?

1-1/2" is usually more than enough for most situations;)

I just looked on eBay for GS110 swingarms, and the one I found is for a shaft drive.
What year/model do I need to look at for a chaindrive swingarm?
