Upper Shock Mounts for a GS swingarm conversion

I am doing a GS swingarm conversion on a 79 MKII and I also have the 83 GS 11 clevis type shocks.

I am interested to know how guys are converting the upper shock mount to suit the Suzuki clevis type shocks on the KZ frame. The KZ upper stud is bigger 14 mm OD and the suzuki shocks bushings are 12 mm ID.

I was thinking of cutting the stock shock bolt off and
drilling for a 12 mm bolt..

The shocks are mint and I dont want to wreck the bushings and rubbers.

Ideas?

You might be ablt to fit the bushings from your kz shocks into the gs shocks. I never got that far on mine.

you get the right shocks and leave the frame the way it is.
