Front Fork Tubes was created by vrdw
Anyone know what other Kawasaki front fork tubes (38mm) can be used on the KZ100J? would the GPZ1100 tubes work? I need to replace one tube that has a rust (hole) patch on the slider which is tearing up the seal...

Regards

You'd probably get more replies if this had been posted in the Chassis forum rather than the Engine forum ;)

Um, so what year KZ100J do you have?
I suggest listing that info in your profile so you won't have to repeat it anytime you have questions in the future.

The Kawi website shows the following info for the inner fork tubes:
44013-1046 = '81 KZ1000-J1
44013-1086 = '82 KZ1000-J2/'82 KZ1000-R1 (ELR)
Unfortunately it doesn't state what the differences are.
FWIW, there might be 38MM tubes out there from another model that will fit your bike, but no clue if they will be the correct length or not.
The orignal tubes for either year show as only fitting the specific bike(s) listed, and no other models. :S

try forking by frank, they have stock to 6" over lengths in stock new for @235 for standard kzwhich are 39mm just got off the phone with them, but they told me they dont do any work so you have to know what length you want if you are changing lengths. but they do have stock!!!
