:woohoo:   Another one of those kodak moments that got away!
Kent, when you go to heat up that nut again, can you come up with a little trickle of water and direct it behind the sprocket? Piece of copper tubing or something? Might save your seal that way. It would also help keep the shaft from swelling up along with the nut when you heat it.
Now I'm glad I didn't use Loktite on mine when I did it.

It took the 1/2" breaker, 6 foot pipe, and lots of heat from a brazing torch to get the nut a dull red. One 200 lb teen on the end of the bar, another 200 lb teen on the brake pedal, and me on the torch. It was easy! :silly:

I got it all back together, torqued to 50-60 lbs, and this time I put a little dab of yellow weatherstrip cement on the threads just sticking out from the nut. That will hold it fine.

It has an RK X-ring chain and new sprockets from Jeff, so I'm hoping to get a very long life out of it. I got 12,000 miles from the last chain, just a regular plain jane chain. Not too bad I think.
