Thanks for the responses! I used the old double nut trick - sounds dirty, doesn't it) and it turned right out. I would like to have welded the crap out of it, but no need now. I had to remove it for rearset clearance - I didn't realize it, but the other side came out with the outer nut, no trouble at all!

Thanks again. I'm getting closer and closer to finishing this thing.

.... I'd have still welded the crap out of it, just to show it who's boss. hahaha

Good LORD! I hope I never get that desperate...

I have to get a better camera so I can take some decent pics - I gotta get better at documenting.

Oh, it isn't much yet - in fact, it pales in comparisson to the OCC Christmas Chopper...

Seriously, though, I've been goofing around with this thing for a year, buying cheap used parts off eBay and making the parts I can't find or can't afford. It's my first try at anything like this, so it's taking me a while, but I'm learning a lot in the process. Eventually, if everything goes according to plan, it will have the look of a 60's Cafe Racer - we'll see....

I'l keep you posted,
Jay

i thought the miller bike and the snap-on bike were neat, but other than that they really suck!they spend all that money building those big motors, then they put them in some overly "cheesed out chassis"that cant use the horsepower id rather have a ratty old basketcase z1 anyday.my dad calls it a soap opre(?)with welders and football players!haha.happywrenching!youre right wolfman,my bad!they spend all that money buying motors!

I have yet to see OCC build a motor! every one I've seen comes out of a crate already assembled. I would hate to thing that they had assembled a motor from parts when they can't even line up the transmission and motor and install an inner and outer primary correctly. Just get out your OCC Wrench and knock it into alinement.

For those whom don't know an OCC Wrench is also known as a Dead Blow hammer!

Down with OCC up with Low Cost Choppers.
