Impact driver and sledge hammer... :evil:While we are in that area, Stein, my bike like yours, I tried to take of the cover to the reservoir and one of the screws got stripped. Any suggestions?
No, seriously, those screws are a pain. Especially if they've been sitting for a while. I used a tool that won't be available to you: My dad's mean grip! After I'd been trying for half an hour to get the damn things out, being careful not to strip 'em, my dad walked in the shop and spent about 1 minute's worth of pure brute force with a regular screwdriver and got them both out :ohmy:

I replaced the master cylnder on my 1978 kz1000 with a 90's police bike one I got off ebay shipped for $25. Looks just like what you got in the diagrams there. Even came with the lever.
