Sportster shock question was created by z1rick
I bought a pair of Sportster shocks off fleaBay and finally got them on my KZ100P. The orig. shocks are 13 & 1/2" eye to eye. The Sportster shocks are
13 & 1/4", no big deal. When I sat on the bike, the bike sunk a good 6 to 8 inches! Even on the stiffest setting. They were suppose to be "low mileage" They look to be almost new (very clean looking). So my question is what gives? Are HD shocks that bad, or do these shocks need fluid or something? Can they be rebuilt? Thanks all for your input, and feel free to make fun of HD or what ever....

Wow. The sporty shocks I put on mine are stiff as a board. Maybe the pair you ended up with aren't so new?
Or maybe you're built like King Kong?

The Police special is a bit heavier than a KZ 1000, and I am 235 lbs. I just didn't think the shocks would compress that much.

Hm. I weigh right at 200. And my wife only weighs about 105lbs.
I guess you could try some air shocks?
Bummer.
