What is the widest tire I can fit on the back wheel of my '81 KZ1000? Anyone try it?

I have an '85 kz1000 and I am currently running Metzeler on the front and rear.
Front: 110/80-18
Rear: 130/70-18
I hope this helps.

two weeks ago I mounted a 140/90 16 on my '83 kz1100. I had to let the air out and remove the brake caliper to get it past the shaft drive but it looks good and rides AWESOME! It's really close to the torque rod but so far it's not rubbing. When I say close I mean it's less than an 1/8th inch (or closer) and if it rubs I'll modify the rod or go back to the 130/90 16 I was running.
And for the record, I used it because I had a big ride a couple of days after and I found a screw in the center of my rear tire. I had the 140/90 so I gave it a shot and it worked.
Later,
Tony T

I was running a 140 on the stock wheel, then mounted a 170 on a ZX9 wheel in the GPz1100 swingarm before going to the ZZR1200 arm.
