Who's using a ZRX1100 swingarm on Their KZ1000?

I was HOPING to be doing it THIS winter, but I don't know if it will happen,as I'm still trying to collect all of the parts.
I have the swinger,shocks,forks,front calipers,triples...all from a ZRX1100 (99-2000)
I'm still working on the wheels and rotors, etc.(in the works as We speak)
I just want to know Who has already done this,so I can keep track of Who I should be directing My questions to,as I go through the whole process.
Thanks Guys B)

Good luck with the conversion, Sandy. Being that the ZRX is a newer model, there may not be as many parts available for them, and not as many swaps done.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Thanks Rob,and Merry Christmas to You too,Bud.
Actually,You'd be surprized at how many parts ARE available for the ZRX models...Guys are getting braver and braver on these bikes all of the time, and some of them are ending up being parted...if You know what I mean?LOL
Also...a lot of the Owners are upgrading them, like in one situation where the Owner upgraded to a ZRX1200 rear-end on His 1100,and still has all of the 1100 parts(which I hope to get some of).
Other than the wheels,I have a good chunck of the parts that I'll need to do this.
I'm going to pull the triples off of one of My parts-bikes and have the stem pressed out,and get it attached to the ZRX triples,so I don't have to tear the front apart on My 1000,so that will be ready and waiting for the swap.
Getting the swinger into the KZ frame will take some doing, and getting the sprockets to line up will be another hurdle, but as soon as I can find Others that have done this...
Right now,I'm working on getting the Dyna2000 installed, and the clutch-kit I got from Jeff.I also have other things to do as well,so I don't really want to start tearing the bike apart for suspension upgrades, because I want to be riding in the SPRING...not the middle of SUMMER!LOL(like last season, when I did the engine work).
I hate snow!!

AAH! yes my child you are a brave soul but not to worry the path is shorter than you think. If I can do it so can you. Good Luck and check my forum "kz1000 streetfighter conversion w/zrx front & rear"

LOL...thanks Steve.(that's inspiring)
I've already been looking at Your pics, and have read some of Your details,as to what You did,and the whole process...(You have a bigger shop, and You have more experience,You Bugger.LOL )
I see that You're using a 1200 swinger, and I also LOVE what You've done with the forks!(polished)...different,and They stand out like there was some work done to them!(Man-Hours)
I did the same thing to My KZ forks a couple of years ago,and They still look like They're brand new..shiny(except for bug-brains)...They do look nice though, and with some regular maintenance...I like em!
Like I've mentioned ...I do have a good chunk of the main parts(a good base)...I also have more info coming from Another Person who has done something similar(He used ZZR parts, not ZRX parts)and His info is definately going to help Me.
Steve...again,Bud...thanks for the input,and I will for sure be asking You a question,or 2...(when it happens)...thanks Bud.

No name: That a original ELR and a original swingarm? I got a GSXR ´90 swing in my ´83 ELR and it´s too long so my Q is does the ZXR swing mount OK into the frame? I was planning to shorten mine but getting a new one would be even better!B)

do you have a GSX/R 1100 swingarm ?
Use one from a GSX/R 750,it`s much shorter (and cheaper than the ZRX part).

It´s a GSXR1100 swing so it´s pretty long. But it´s easy to cut off 40mm (max to fit in a 180 tire). I will also move shock mounts 20-30mm to slightly lift the rear of the bike. We´ll see, it´s a long winter ahead....
