Clubman handle bars and clutch cable was created by kzcody
Hey guys,

I just put clubman bars on my 80' kz440 and I need a new clutch cable. I was wondering if anyone had done the same thing and had some cable lengths to share. Thanks,

-cody

I ran into same thing with mine. EMailed z1enterprises and they were GREAT with figuring out what I needed....sent links and length differences. Takes guesswork out, and thats a good thing!!!!! ;)

I'm in the same boat with my KZ750 LTD. I didn't like the ape hanger bars, so I bought a pair of drag bars but the local bike shop would want about $21-$23 per cable to shorten. I figure there must be another KZ model with shorter cables that will fit the speedo, throttle, clutch, and tach.

Lower handlebars will not have any effect on your speedo or tach cable. For a shorter throttle cable look into using a cable for the 750 E model or possibly a GPZ 750 same thing for the clutch cable. It would probably be a waste of money having the cables shortened you can buy new shorter cables for about the same kind of money and not have to worry about reliability issues.

Of course that's true.
But in some cases, guys have decided to "under-mount" their speedo/tach/dash to compliment the look of the lower bars. This additional step might require those shorter cables.
