Are any 18" whels a direct swap on a 82 CSR? If not what am I looking at to change things over?

If you want to upgrade to a rear disc brake, I believe the KZ750E rear wheel (18") and brake components would be a reasonable swap. You would likely need to add a bolt mount point for the rear brake arm onto your swingarm, but that doesn't seem like major surgery. Take a look at the KZ750E1 diagrams on the Kawasaki.com parts diagram website.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.

As H1Vindicator wrote the 550 standard wheel will work as will a wheel from an 80 650-F, although that was a model made for only one year so your chances of finding one are not real good.

The 440 wheel will not work it uses a smaller rear brake setup.

Apeman is correct about using a wheel from a 750 E model but it would require either using the 750 swingarm or welding up a bracket to yours. The good news is all the other mounting stuff is already on your frame.

You did not indicate if you wanted to go to mag wheels though. If you want to keep your spokes that is another animal.
