can I move my foot controls?
29 Mar 2007 19:01
I'm building a cafe style bike and I would like to move the foot controls up and back a few inches. Is there a kit or a common way to do this or am I on my own?
Thanks,
MIke

Welcome. I'm working on this at the moment. Just waiting on parts.
Check out this thread on Rearsets . It has a few options.
I will be using a GSXR600 set up instead now as the brake side has the Master cylinder and brake light switch already attached to the bracket.

you could also make a adaptor plate to mount in the factory locations and then mount the new rearsets up and back a bit.

Thanks guys, great info! And I learned what "rear sets" are.
Sorry, I can talk cars all day long but I'm still learning bike lingo.
thanks,
MIke

No worries Mike, we all had/have to learn our way around bikes and bike lingo at one time.
