Hasn't really taken all that much to do...it does help when you have a great friend that paints and does some fabbing for a living though.

I read some of the threads about going about swapping swing arms.. sounded terribly complicated! Anyway, I like the looks of the one you chose, it's prettier than a lot of the ones I've seen done. Do you know if it's possible to retain the stock wheel/sprocket setup with something like that?

Ar15Ron, you probably could use the stock wheel, but you would have to use a ton of spacers to get it in the middle of the much wider swingarm. I used a '03 Kawi 636 swingarm/brake setup with a '97 ZX7R rear wheel and cush drive.
To get the swingarm to fit, we had to grind just a little bit off on either side of the frame where the swingarm axle goes thru.
I thought about having mounts tig welded onto the 636 swingarm so I could just use the factory style shock, but I went for the mono shock look.

I like it. Maybe next winter I'll make that my project
It would be nice to get new wheels and fatter tire. Did you have to do anything in the front or did the new wheel bolt right on with the factory brake caliper and all?

If you swap it out, you will have to update almost everything...
