Link -
Style E Front Tube or Tubeless Street Tread Tire (SIS: 3.25/3.50x18"; MS: 100/90H18; RRW: 2.50; LR: 490)
Style F Rear Tube or Tubeless Street Tread Tire (SIS: 3.75/4.00x18"; MS: 110/90H18; RRW: 2.50; LR: 565)
this is my first time buying tires... and i'm just a little concerned.... just want to make sure i do this right....
also, at that web site, it lists a "tube" section... but none of the ones they list are for an 18" rim...

Hi all........
also, at that web site, it lists a "tube" section... but none of the ones they list are for an 18" rim...
Cheng Shin tires are the bottom of the price barrel, but those should work just fine.
Are you putting the tires on yourself?
Me personally, I buy tires at RonAyers.com (actually, I buy Dunlop 404s), and I take them to my non-local friendly dealer for installation (since my *local* dealer is non-friendly, cost-wise that is ). The dealer provides the tubes and the rim strips (for my spoked wheels).

Biquetoast, just sent you a PM
i went to that site and found these...
0306-0008 TIRE D404 110/90-18 REAR
0305-0001 TIRE D404 100/90-18 FRONT
my manual says i need
rear = 3.5-S18
front = 3.25-S18
i read somewhere that the 3.5 and 3.25 sizes are close to or the same as 100/90 and 110/90...
do i have that right?
since i'll be mounting myself, any suggestion on the proper type of tube/stem???
i a link for tubes at that site (very useful), but i'm somewhat clueless as to which tube/stem system to get (and if it even matters!)...
thanks again...

Can't help you about the tubes - it's been a looong time since I bought any. How about giving them a call? It might be worth a shot....do i have that right?
Those are the tires I have.
One caution: the D404s have a somewhat more modern "street" look, in fact they have the same tread pattern as the tires used on Harleys. If you want a more traditional/oldschool look, you might want to take a look at the Dunlop Qualifiers. Hmm. I just checked and Ayers doesn't have the rear in less than a 130, so that's a no go. Anyway, my 400 had them on when I got it, and I kinda' like 'em. In fact, I still have it on the back of my project 400, I haven't got around to installing the 404s...

Now that you mention it, MAWonline was where I got my first set of tires. I guess I thought I couldn't find their website anymore or something. Anyway, thanks for the reminder!...Those Dunlop D404s look like a good choice. In your previous tire thread a price of $110-120 for a set was posted - not bad. Dunlop D404 Front . Dunlop D404 Rear . As for the tubes... give 'em a call - they probably have the ones needed....
