new handlebars for a 550

i was wonders if anyone had any suggestions for new handlebars for a 550 i am used to riding suzuki gs500f. i don't like the stock bars on the kz550. just looking for ideas that would make for a comfortable ride.

Your 550 is an LTD, right? Those bars get described here as "antlers" or "rototiller handles" around here, and those are the nice things said about them!
Type Handlebars in the Search Forum box and you will find some ideas, and also problems that come up when you swap to something different. Your throttle, clutch, and brake lines may be too long with lower bars. That's why my LTD still has the dorky bars.

For what it is worth I have a set of bars from a stock KZ550 A (the std model)on a 550 LTD that I have and combined with shorter shocks from a 750 Virago I like the way it sits and feels.

all sounds good. thanks for the tips. i think i just need to go to a dealership and sit on a few bikes with different handlebars and see which ones feel good. thanks for the tips.

Actually at this point I do have the stock master cylinder on it only because I'm too lazy to change it over to the 550 std master cylinder. It will work ok as is but since I do have the 550 std master cylinder at some point I will change it out. And yes the 550 LTD and the 650 CSR share the same M/C.

Check z1enterprises. I got mine from there andchanged out from what Gringo has. I bought the handlebars called european handlebars. They are VERY comfortable, not to for down and not to far up, like moderate superbike bars. I will show you my bike with them on.
