ISO Fork oil weight & Capacity 78 KZ1000 A2
16 Mar 2007 06:39
I've found only one suggested oil weight and capacity for my 78 KZ1000. I don't have a service manual, but I was hoping one of you guys had one handy and would share that info with me. Thanks.

I have a Clymer manual that covers your model....
5.4 oz.(160cc)15W non-detergent fork oil on '78 and later chain drive models; or 10.5 oz.(310cc)10W non-detergent fork oil on shaft drive models.

Gentlemen, thanks for the info, definately go with the 15w, probably split the difference on capacity. This is why I enjoy this group. Take care and thanks again.
