650 swingarm parts
08 Mar 2007 20:12
I have been looking for parts for the swing arm of my kz650 b1. It's a little project bike that I have been working on for quite a while now and I tore apart the rear end and noticed that I have a considerable amount of rust. The swing arm is fine, but the brushings and the sleeve/shaft/cover/"thing that the bolt goes in", are not very good. I have found brushings at z1 enterprises but I have not been able to locate the shaft anywhere. Just the needle bearing setup. (But that is for the C2+ models I believe...). Also, the dust covers/grease seals are not to be found easily either. If any of you could point me in the right direction, that would be great! Thanks A lot!!
I look forward to using this site in the future!

Have you tried ordering it? About $100 and any Kawasaki dealer should be able to order it unless it comes up as no longer available which it very well may. Otherwise it's a piece of hard steel which rides on brass bushings. By all logical thinkings, the part should not wear significantly, that's what the bushings are there for, to be replaced when worn. The shaft should last a long time, but rust ect, can enter into the picture on steel.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

oo awesome, thanks guys, its parts 6 and 2. and yeah, that shaft shouldent wear out, but rust is lame. and less than $100 dollars would be awesome, i still have a lot left to get this bike going, so the less cost the better.
