good (though \"reasonable\") tires for kz440
07 Mar 2007 14:44
Hi All...
i see the other thread here for tires for a KZ650, but assumed that bike would use diff. tires than mine...
so...
i'm waiting on my new forks (they should be here any day) and am eager to finish putting my front end together before i declare that RIDING SEASON (on my other bike!) is opened again!! (hence, no more time for tinkering for a little while)...
so...
i have a 1978 KZ440...
i'm slowly, but surely, restoring it (to some degree) and i've tossed out the old tires...
i'm looking for new tires that will be "functional", yet, but break the bank...
any suggestions???
thanks...

id say go with a mid level tire no need for v-rated rubber on there.continental used to make decent tire called blitz ,dunlops seem to popular also.just remember your tires atr what connect you to the road so buy accordingly

I don't know how much the Cheng Shins cost, but you can get a set of Dunlop 404's for $110-$120.
