KZ 650 modern shocks

Hello all,

Took my bike for its first outing in over ten years the other day. It was good to feel the force of the 70's once again. The bike ran pretty good, but will need some jetting changes etc. However, I am not satisfied. I need to modernize my scoot and the first thing I want to do is add a set of modern aftermarket or OEM shocks that will be about 1" longer than stock. I want to quicken the steering up some w/o a wheel change right now. I have been through the archives and it looks like a 13" eye to eye shock will do it? Am I correct? Also, what modern sportbike or naked bike has a shock with these dimensions?

Thanks Larry

ZRX shocks are 14"+. Not sure what other bikes have what you're looking for.

progressive suspension has shocks available for the 650. pretty sure you can get them in different lengths. the springs are progressive wheich means they get stiffer the more they are compressed. my bro has them on his 78 650. riding the darn thing is like riding in your lazy boy! could ride it all day and never have any discomfort. they go for around 165 bux a pair.

I replaced mine last year with a pair off of a Harley Sportster. You can get them off ebay for around $20. Mine were mint and only had to change the bushings.
