Okay, lame question about cables ...

... but I have to ask because I can. I need new throttle cables for my shaftie. I found I could buy NOS Kawasaki cables or the Motion Pro ones sold by z1 for about the same price. Any difference in quality? Certainly the originals were nothing to write home about. Thanks.

Original Kawasaki is always 10 times better quality than motion pro. Hard to believe they would be priced even close to the same. Normally a cable that is $35 through Kawasaki is $15 aftermarket. If you get the motion pro, I'd bet anything it's not the exact right length. Since this cable from Kawasaki "only" fits KZ1000 A1-A3 and E1-E2, but the Motion Pro fits everything from a KZ200 to a KZ1300 gives you a general idea.

Forgive my naivety, but is there really going to be that huge of a difference? The only cable I would be suspicious of would be one made by immigrants such as myself in a sweatshop and sold for 5 bucks a pop.
