Look in the projects section.I'm doing the rear end right now.Look under "76 kz900 upgrade".That is one of the best swaps you can make.I can walk you through it,no problem.Of course you will need the help of a machinest. Here is a pic of one another guy did a great job on.

Totally do-able!![;) ;)](/media/kunena/emoticons/11.png)
Working on one Myself.(have almost all the parts now)
It doesn't look like I'll be doing it this winter,as I still need a few pieces before I start the tear-down.I won't start unti I KNOW I have all what I'll need. After the hell I went through when I rebuilt My engine, and having to wait on the machine-shop...no WAY!I wanna start riding in MAY...not July!
I'm using all ZRX1100 parts on Mine.Got the wheels,forks,shocks swinger,chain guard,calipers,rotors,axles...but still need a few parts.
Getting a chrome front fender was high priority for Me,but I might have to resort to getting a stock plastic one vacuum plated...still doing research on that one.Just got My ZRX fork brace in the mail the other day,so I can add that to the pile of parts.
I still need more info on the rear set-up,but Mark is going to "Be there for Me"...right Buddy?
Ya...for sure, grab that chassis, and show Us what You grabbed!
:woohoo:

I saw a few posts on monoshock conversions last week that looked nice and decided I give it a try. I had two ZX11 chassis lying around so it seemed a ZX11 would be a perfect doner. I relocated the swingarm pivot back 4" so I could get the stretch in the wheelbase I wanted and still use a stock swingarm and maintain the stock geometry. I'm waiting for new swingarm bearings, should be here tomorrow, and will start reassembly. I am planing to use the entire ZX11 front end, problem is that the tubes are 1.5" shorter and I'll have to make my own top triple tree with a drop. The new triple tree will accommodate the origional handlebars giving the bike that stock look, I don't want anyone to know Ive updated the suspension. thebull

I machined plates for each side to hold the swingarm, incorporated the lower shock mount tube for strength
and alingment. I also included mount locations for the lower side cover rubber gromets and the master brake cylinder. To design the plates I first created a 3D
model of the stock Z1 Chassis as well as the ZX11
Chassis, then created a third grafting the two together.
In my younger days I use to cut and fit under the old shade tree, now I build it on the computer first.thebull
