drag racers-sprocket question
02 Jan 2007 22:11
I'm having a hrad time fnding anyone who sells a 18 tooth-3/8 offset front for a 530 chain. I think I'll have to go with the 630 set up. Anyway, what size rear sprocket would be a good starting point? I have a 14 front now but will probably go back to a 15 front. The rear I have on it now is pretty small I want to guess about a 35 or so. I was thinking about getting a 45 for now and see what happens. What are you guys using?

I think I'm going to stick with the 630 and try the 15/42 set up. Thanx! I went with a 14 tooth last year with the tiny rear sprocket and knocked about a second off my times! But with the bigger rear I was concerned about the binding. I don't know why I was so set on changing to a 530 chain. I guess it's the new thing to do. :woohoo:

the new 530 chains (good ones) are as strong or stronger than the old 630 chains, are lighter, cheaper and should cut down your ET a little bit
that could be why:whistle:
