Fuel gauge on 900s was created by pumps
I have seen on two KZ900s gas gauges in the filler caps. Is/was that an option or standard? What models came with that? Exactly how does it function?

What caught my eye was this one for sale on ebay.

Never seen anything like it. I seriously doubt that it's a factory option.
The maker looks like AD. I googled them, but no joy. It must have a mechanical float, kind of like on my dad's old lawn mower. But the tank has a ridge right down the middle for the frame, so it must flop to one side. Also, it must get in the way every time you open the cap to fill the tank. I wonder if I can get one...
