Is there anyway I can get the headlight out of a vetter fairing and use it on my bike? I think I need a bigger headlight and i dont want to buy another one, dont really want to do it!

I thought they were the same size?
I know I took the headlight bulb out of a Vetter and installed it in a 82 KZ750M, and later took the headlight out of an 82 KZ1000M and installed it in the same Vetter fairing.

IIRC the mounting system is different between the bike and the fairing.

Are you saying the headlight bucket mounts differently? I have not paid any attention to the bucket, I just swapped the bulbs since they were the same size sealed beam.

Can be done. My '79 650C3 had a rectangular Vetter headlight on there. It was my brother's originally, and he set it up that way. Not the nicest mounting on his part, but it was on there.
Another option may be a 7" Halogen conversion for your round light, for better visability.

Here's a bad pic of the C3:

Yes.

Well, it would pretty well have to be different wouldn't it? The KZ headlights buckets usually mount with one bolt on each side and it would be pretty difficult to do that on a Vetter fairing.

All the Windjammer and Vindicator fairings I have seen use the round headlight, while the QuickSilver uses a rectangular one.

If the original poster just wants more light, I think the Halogen sealed beam works well.

I dont need the headlight bulb, I want the whole headlight. The fairing I have is a windjammer or more like a speed jammer, but yeah, I have a smaller headlight in there to give it more of a sporty look, hence the pic of the sr650 in the gallery just on the 2nd page of pics. Check it out and tell me what you think about how it looks and be honest. Ive ridden with that light and it think its bright enough but I want to be seen more. Ive seen these floodlights for bikes that just mount to the fork tubes at the front wheel fender and i dont know I am babbling here but I think roadbike magazine rules

The 7" round Vetter housing/bucket/shell circa 1980 Suzuki is too small for the wiring that is usually tucked into the shell. It fits the ears. I am using one.
