Coil swap

I have a 78 KZ1000 and I have a set of coils off a 82 KZ1100 if I get a dyna electronic ignition kit(sorry for bad spelling) can I use the coils off the 82 KZ1100 ??
78 KZ1000 work in progress in Hacienda Heights California and a 82 KZ1100 Spectra And a 1992 ZX11.

According to Dyna, no.

They require coils that are 3-ohm or higher. I assume the 82 KZ1000 will be lower than 2.5 ohms. You could use them with a ballast resistor, though.
