Differant plug wire caps

I was checking my plugs and noticed # 1&4 Were richer than 2&3. I have diferant brand wires on each coil,both are 7mm solid core but the ends came off 2 diff year bikes. Could this have something to do with it.How do you tell if there are resistors in the cap ends, and if they are all the same.Do i even need resistors?

I think you already know the answer. Don't use resistor type stuff. It is hard to tell what type caps unless they are NGK caps and those have resistor part numbers stamped on the cap itself. In other words, it will have an R in the part number, same as their plugs.

What is the deal with resistor type wires and spark plugs?

My old spark plug wires (Accel) had NGK plug boots with 5 (or was it 5K) ohm resistance. The spark plugs were non resisitor (no R) type.

I had the local speed shop make me a set of MSD plug wires without NGK resistor plug boots, so I put in a set of resistor (R) spark plugs.

I thought this had to do with RFI interference and my stock fuel injection. No?

What SHOULD I have done? If it matters I have Accel aftermarket coils.

I measured the resistance between the plug caps. I have 8 diferant ones. They all read between 4.3 and 5.4 With the multimeter set on x200 (I think ,That was this am. I forget allready)Anyway does this tell me that they are ok? since there all about the same?
