on a 74z1 is the recifier body supose to be live? I seem to be getting 12 volts of curent between the rec body and ground. Is this normal? The batery box was removed and there is a make shift setup. The stator is not working. the wires are shorted to each other, and I found a hot pink (over heated not a pritty hot pink color.lol)and hot black/yellow wire.So i was wondering if the rec body voltage would have anything to do with this.If the body of the rec touched the frame going over bumps would this hurt my alternator.I will mount it better, just looking for a reason for the hot wires and the stator to stop working.I have ordered a new stator and don't want to fry it.
