Does anyone happen to know offhand if a rectifier from a 1977 KZ400 will work on a 1977 KZ650c1? They both are the seperate reg/rect but the one I have from the 400 is different except that it looks to be the same wiring setup (except the stator wires are white instead of yellow)

Thanks!

21061-31 is the rectfier part #. Used only on the 1977 KZ650B1 and C1. Other rectifiers could work, but no other Kawasaki used the exact part.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

The part number will be different from minor differences. Sometimes the part number is different just from wires being a different length.

I believe the 77 400 and 77 650 use a very similar rectifier (and even a similar regulator). it may be worth a try.

You could also make one for about $20.
