Finally Got the Gerex CDI unit functioning...i must say works very very well paired up with a set of GM CDI coils and triggered by the factory points set up.
it will make a spark that can easily jump 4 inches...Amazingly powerful.

the gerex unit calls for a .060-.063in plug gap..
im using b8's and will be very hard to get that much gap with these plugs. i have tried but am afraid of bending around on them to much..id hate to have the end come off a plug get caught in a valve. i had been bench testing the unit with GM plugs and the spark is very fat and bright blue at .065. the b8's seem to run fine on the bike but the spark is half the size with the b8's VS the northstar plugs. my head is made for crush seals and the chevy plugs are taper seats. also the tip of chevy plugs are about .050 longer than the b8's.

So...do i have any options for plugs? How much room do i have in the squish zone? was maybe thinking of going to a platnium plug. Thanks for any opinions and advice.

Ed
