Dyna S ignition fail

Today my z1 passed 2000 miles and I decided to see if I could hit the 100mph mark. I got there but it immediately shut down. After a tow home I discovered the little magnet on the new Dyna-S ignition unity fell off. This pisses me off, it only has 2000 miles on it. I’m hesitant to glue it back on because I’ll never trust this thing again. From what I read on the internet, this is a common issue. What is a better ignition system than the Dyna-S?   

Never had this happen on the True Dyna S however it happened on one of the Dyna knockoffs that we have tested and on a bike we just sold . So the question is was it a true Dyna unit or a knockoff. Also we had a few knockoffs where the magnet was so weak that it would not trip the sensor. 

Boyer bransden. Choice of race bikes back then. Does away with the mechanical advance, has heat protection circuits for the pick ups, and programmable power curve. 
and to put the cherry on top its cheaper. 

Dyna production has been outsourced to china now and the magnet fail is common.

A while back DYNA changed the type of epoxy used to secure the magnet which caused this issue and very soon after they reverted back to the original formula.
They put out a recall to the dealers for the affected units but many were already sold and some probably didn't get sent back so there's likely a few still out there that are sat on the shelves.
The message from Dynatech is for any buyers who had this issue to contact them and they will replace the faulty rotor and any pickups etc that were damage as result so you should contact Dyna for a replacement.
As an aside i have modified a few Dyna 'S'  rotors by repositioning the magnets to alter the timing for Turbo/Supercharger use etc and i use Araldite 2 pack epoxy resin to set the magnets back and this has never failed.
