1981 KZ750 - What does this bracket to?

What does the fuel check switch bracket to? I looked at the diagrams and I'm still not for sure. Am I missing a bracket?

Also, where does everyone stuff their wires? If I put the tool box under the seat I'm not for sure where I would stuff all the wires. Does anybody have a better way to run the wires?

Thanks!

Sure it's a fuel check switch?
Looks like a brake light outage unit fitted to later 70's khi bikes.
The brake light outage unit causes the brake idiot light to flash if the brake light bulb filament blows warning the rider he has no brake light.
These were fitted under the tank on bigger bikes and to the rear side of the electrical component plate on smaller bikes.

Whatever it is check those two places.

The wiring harness sort of puts it under the seat. I don't think the way it connects to the harness that it would fit under the tank. I appreciate the help.

Have you looked at the "test procedure" in the manual (these generally say or show where the component is located)
