Well Bob i can see you're going down the path of Aftermarket, ha. To answer the question of where the (2) Green wires go on the one that came with the bike, they are both the same. Some manufactures came with Double + and - wires. They are soldered together, both Green and Red, within your original. The "New" one you bought you'll note that it has an additional Brown wire. That wire has to be connected to a switched + supply for the unit to even work.

You are right Asphalt, I am using after market to get the bike moving. The bike season in Maine is so short!
Do I disconnect the green wires from old one and attach the white wire there? And where does the black wire go? Ground?
Thank you!
~Bob

Black goes to the engine ground and white goes to your inline fuse if you have the original. check those connections on the black and white to make sure they have a good crimp. ai had several lately that were incorrectly crimped.

As Cra-z1 said. Depending on supplied "length" of that black wire though? Goal is to electrically route it to the Negative post of battery regardless of how that happens. Cra-z1 is surely referring to the M6 bolt right above the engine kickstart cover. This is where the Negative battery cable eyelet attaches to. Just put it behind the cable eyelet and tighten. Behind it because the "forked" material is weaker and you'll distort it, just sandwich it between big cable and engine. Nothing pertaining to the "old" unit with those Green wires has ANY consequence now so don't let that confuse you, file it or save it. Any trepidation at this point would be concern of compatibility between all those aftermarket bits you have your shopping cart full of. I've never bought such items but it would be wise to purchase all you need from a singular source, for forementioned compatibility. Speaking of Shopping Cart. What are Your plans for all the stuff you are taking off? Coils, wiring, handlebar switches, shocks, etc etc. One persons junk is another's treasure, ha.
