750b kill switch/starter button

Working on getting my electric start operational after 4yrs of kicking it over.
The previous owner disabled the system when the starter clutch started to go bad, never fixed the clutch and just cut wiring to the right handlebar switch.
Ive got a yellow/red wire and a brown wire that have been cut and wired together. When looking at the wiring diagram it seems these wires go to the kill switch.
I've disassembled the switch housing and im not sure how to properly connect the wiring to the kill switch. And also not sure if all the parts are there.

The brown wire is input to the light switch and the kill switch. The red/yellow is the output from the kill switch to one side of the start button and the output to the coil.

Being that "Kill" switch hasn't been used in some time, take note. The switch itself was never offered separately, came as an assembly when switchblock was bought whole. These are notorious for flaky behavior, notchy action. This is because moisture got up underneath it and rusted out that singular ball bearing that rides on the lower plate ramp. Picture shown. You CAN glam-up some stuff but functional might take a bit more. If it Helps.

Alright so I'm looking over the wiring diagram and using the above posts to try to figure this out.
Do I have the wires hooked up to the kill switch properly?
My diagram shows a black wire, brown wire, yellow/red wire, and a blue white leading to the handlebar switches.
My bike has (2) yellow/red wires leading to the handlebars switches even though the diagram only shows one.
Do I need to jumper from the kill switch to the starter button at all? The starter button seems to have a stripped screw head on it, does a yellow/red wire run to this screw from the kill switch?
Thanks for all the help so far!

There should be a yellow/red and a black to the starter button. The yellow and red could be an internal link but in your case it looks like the two yellow/red are joined outside of the switch (or they should be )
