Thank you all. Found this thread after fighting my master shut off switch not shutting the motor down with the switch not work by disconnecting either the negative or the positive on the battery.. I probably have 20 hours in trying to make it work. The person who installed this motor in the car over 30 years ago left the brown wire from the rectifier disconnected. I connected it into the ignition system and it works perfectly. Again, thanks for this thread.
