1980 KZ750E wiring harness

The wiring harness on my bike has been severely Frankensteined, and I have secured a clean, used replacement from a 1981/82. What problems do I have to look forward to?
Thanks in advance.

I might suggest if you can find wiring diagrams for all the machines you are looking at to determine what you are facing, cause I certainly do not know the differeces. But some where not long after that it changed from points to electronic systems.

For 1981 Kawasaki added the Reserve Lighting System and a Low Fuel Warning Light to the 750E2.

1980 750E has a volt meter, and a slightly different warning light setup.

It shouldn't be too hard to adapt the harness between models.  I suggest laying out the harnesses on a large table, and noting differences.
