Normally Open Kill Switch Wiring

How could I wire a normally open momentary press button to be used as a kill switch. I plan on using the type commonly seen on most dirt bikes. I will be making my first wiring harness from scratch to use and will wire the bike's ignition as follows: Battery -> Ignition key switch -> Coils. I originally was going to wire the kill switch inline after the ignition key switch but realized that I probably wouldn't like having to hold down the button to allow voltage to the coils... I know the ignition key switch will stop the 12V from going to the coils in the open position so I wouldn't necessarily need a secondary kill switch. However, I have it and I'd like to use it to give it more of the "dirt bike" feel as that's what I'm rooted in. The bike is an 82 KZ550.
