Make it modern and don`t foucs on beeing classic.
Questions pop-up in my head:
1. What cables to use ?
2. What connectors to use ?
3. How to protect the cables a modern way?

I`m considering rebuild my whole electrical hardness and use a M-unit and a new speeso/rpm gauges.
Make it modern and don`t foucs on beeing classic.
Questions pop-up in my head:
1. What cables to use ? Use the calculator in my "elec diagnosis guide" (link in my signature) to ensure correct cable sizing for each circuit and only use "multi-strand" automotive specific cable
2. What connectors to use ? As you are not looking to stay original the choice is infinite, personally I am using "DTM" style weatherproof connectors for pretty much everything
3. How to protect the cables a modern way? You can either use "tape" or sleeving (I will predominantly be using "shrink sleeving" in my build

That would work but probably a higher spec and therefore cost (WSKB budgets are eyewatering) than is required for this application, ideally you don't want to "over-do" insulation thickness or you will end up with a loom like "a baby's arm" (just my opinion)I saw some fellows build a new wiring harness at a WSBK race once. They used marine cabling ...

Is it other thing to consider?
Use different colour on the cable for easier troubleshooting in the future?
Use shoes on all end where you terminate the wire?

Thank you
Is it other thing to consider?
Use different colour on the cable for easier troubleshooting in the future? As much as possible try and stick with OE colour coding, it will make diagnosing potential issues easier at a later date
Use shoes on all end where you terminate the wire? Not sure what you mean by this ??

Sorry still not clear what that is, do you mean were the wires go into the "M" unit ? - if so I would simply twist the end and solder it to prevent fraying

So does the "M" unit come with ferrules ? (every day's a "school day" )With the M-unit you want to use a special Ferrule Crimper to crimp the ferrules onto the end of the wires. It gives a much more secure connection.
