z1 parts has what looks like the identical set. Im wanting to put them on a 1979 MKII. They look very similar if not identical to the ones that are on the bike im wondering if the wiring is different some where?

There may be a KZ900 wiring diagram in the Filebase here on KZR, for comparing to the MKII wiring. I'm assuming you have a wiring diagram for your motorcycle. I'd guess you'll have to do some rearranging of some of the wires. just a guess.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

If those are for a KZ900 they may not work on a MK2. But you can check Partzilla to see if the part number is the same. If not...you pays your money and takes your chances.

If you decide to run with them (if you can't find the right ones) I can help you with the wiring

Hi, installed a 900 switch on my 81 650, wanted switched lighting, 900 switch has a 4 pin connector, kill switch and starter, plus a blue wire with a bullet duplex end-light switch feed, you probably have always on lighting, it will work, 650 has a 6 pin connector, when light switched was eliminated, wiring for lights is still in switch harness, and spliced under sleeve, as yours might also, relocate wires to old plug in proper locations, new blue will have to go into old plug, and you will have switched lighting also now, kill switch is also 90 degrees different
