Woof, i am at an impass.
i have a 1983 kz 550 sport, i rebuilt.  all was fine till about a year ago i was having running issues with the carbs. there was a lot of sticking in cv diaphragm . i have purchased a new set from a friend they where great till i bent a needle in 1 and 3 in the cv diaphragm. so i was gifted a set of tk22 carbs. the current boots are to big for the tk22’s.
i cannot seem to find new diaphgrams for any thing less then 147.00 each out of germany and i cannot find boots from the engine intake to fit the tk22’s.   anyone have any suggestions ?

Do you have the two barrel type carbs? The KZ1300 used similar.

I think your information is off.  TK22 carbs are mechanical slide type.

hey hey @nessism,
yes correct TK22 are Mechanical slide type carbs, TK26 are Constant Velocity Or Diaphragm slide type carbs. i have 2 sets of TK26 (one set GPZ w/ a torn diaphragm slide) one set the Diaphragms are super stiff. Additionally i have a set of TK22 Mechanical type slide carbs, the boots i currently have for the TK26’s are far larger then what is needed to adopt the TK 22’s.
i am looking to find information of 1.) where can i get a new set of boots to possibly use the tk22’s 2.) possibly where i can find new Constant Velocity Or Diaphragm slides or what are others doing to soften the Diaphragms?
