I'm really hoping someone can  help or point me in the right direction.
I have a kz550 C3. When I acquired the bike amongst its missing parts, was the ignition barrel.
initially I thought this wouldn't be a problem. However mine appears to have a 7 wire ignition connector comprising of 6 pins and 1 brown bullet connector.

I have looked on ebay, z power and various other sites for the model I need, and other than one, that cost twice as much as I paid for the bike, I am hitting a brick wall.

Can anyone advise of an alternative that will fit, can be modified slightly too fit?

Any help greatly appreciated, oh and im UK based, if that makes any difference at all.
TIA

Here is a couple of options for you (you would need to check shipping costs)

Wookie, thank you for that. I think on my searches I did see these, or at least something similar.
What through me was the slight difference in colour on the various wires. Does that not make any difference? (I do understand that they are all copper underneath the sheath)
Sorry if this sounds dumb, I'm just new to this bike restoration malarkey.

They're aftermarket parts so wire colours can be a bind, however if you go this route I can help you work it out (to be fair it should be "plug and play")

So, would I be right in saying that this is the same switch as those that you directed me to?

No, the part number you need is 27005-5014 (according to CMNSL) the one you posted is a different part number (later Kawasakis have a resistor in the switch as part of the anti-theft system)

Z1Enterprises.com lists an Emgo 40-80610 ignition switch for the 82 KZ550-C3. There are a couple listed on EB UK.

Found an ignition that was plug and play, thanks for your suggestions.

After fixing the ignition wiring which was bodged with hot glue! (Not by me) and swapping out the none existent fuse box, which again was just wires glued together.

I have today seen the bike with some sort of life in it. Got a couple of pops and bangs, so hoping I have a runner.
