Replacement headlight
10 Jul 2023 05:01
Back in the day, they made the 7"sealed beam headlights in a version for autos and also a version marked "motorcycle". The motorcycle version lens had a little different light pattern than the automotive one. (I think it was a wider pattern to both sides, instead of wider on the right only for the automotive lamp). Anyone know if they available in halogen, or are we stuck with the standard (automotive) H6024 7" units?

NOS, 7" H4 Candlepower motorcycle headlights.

If you look carefully at the pic, "MOTORCYCLE" can be seen cast into the lens across the bottom. The lens facets are clearly (pun intended) asymmetrical for the motorcycle-correct beam pattern.
We bought a half-dozen to install on our Z1's in order to not put any more hours on the NLA OEM Stanley MC bulbs. They arrived in new-condition mfg. packaging. We're satisfied with these Candlepower units.

On my 77' KZ 1000LTD I installed a 7" Stanley H4 motorcycle lense from an early 80's Honda CB 750. You can get them fairly cheap on fleabay.
